These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OJOs ("we," "us," "our," or "the Platform"). By creating an account or using OJOs, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Who We Are

OJOs.life ("OJOs," "we," "us") is a professional networking and mentorship platform connecting students, graduates, and working professionals through video meetings, shared workspaces, and AI-powered recommendations.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use OJOs. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.

• Ages 13–17: You may use OJOs only with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian. By checking the parental consent box at sign-up, you confirm your parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms and consents. OJOs is for anyone who wants to learn — and everyone who wants to teach.
• Ages 18+: You may use OJOs independently.

If we discover a user under 13 has created an account, we will immediately delete that account and all associated data.

3. Account Registration

OJOs uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorize OJOs to receive your Google account email address and display name. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Impersonation, multiple accounts, and accounts created for bots are prohibited. Notify us at leebloob@ojos.life immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Behavioral Data Collection and Intent Tracking

OJOs collects detailed behavioral data to power its recommendation engine. By using the Platform you explicitly consent to the following practices.

We collect and store:

• Profile views — every profile you visit, the exact timestamp, and how long you spend on that profile (measured in milliseconds).
• Search queries — every search term you type, including partial queries.
• Intent signals — actions you take on meeting request pages: (a) opening a request page, (b) starting a meeting request form but leaving without submitting ("abandoned request"), and (c) successfully submitting a request. We track abandoned requests because this engagement signal — used by major platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn — helps us understand your professional interests and improve recommendations without requiring explicit input.
• Recommendation impressions — every recommendation shown to you, including rank, relevance score, and explanation reason.

This data is used solely to operate and improve OJOs. It is not sold to advertisers. See Section 9 for our population-level analytics practices.

5. AI-Powered Features and Automated Decision-Making

OJOs uses Claude (by Anthropic) for the following features:

• Meeting summaries: Your meeting chat transcript can be sent to Claude to generate a written summary, stored in our database and visible to all meeting participants.
• Resume parsing: Resume text you submit is sent to Claude to extract structured profile data. The raw text is not stored; only the structured output is saved.
• Recommendation engine: A proprietary algorithm combines your behavioral signals with AI-generated semantic expansions to rank other users. This constitutes automated profiling under GDPR Article 22. You may request human review of recommendations or opt out by contacting leebloob@ojos.life.

Anthropic processes data as our data processor and does not train models on your API submissions. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

OJOs retains your data indefinitely while your account is active, to power personalized recommendations and long-term platform analytics. This includes: profile data, search history, profile views, intent signals, meeting chat messages, code snapshots, whiteboard content, AI-generated summaries, and recommendation logs.

Account deletion: Deleting your account permanently and immediately removes all of the above — your profile, all meetings you participated in and their content, all behavioral tracking data, and your authentication record. This cannot be undone.

Data export: You may request an export of your personal data by emailing leebloob@ojos.life. We fulfill verified requests within 30 days.

7. Meeting Content and Video Sessions

• No recordings — ever: OJOs does not record video or audio from meetings. Video streams are processed solely by Daily.co and are not stored by OJOs. This is a permanent policy.
• Chat and shared content: Text messages, code, and whiteboard content created during a meeting are stored in OJOs's database and visible to both participants.
• Content ownership: You retain ownership of content you create. You grant OJOs a limited license to store it, display it to your meeting participants, and process it through AI features you initiate.

8. Payments and Host Services

Paid sessions are processed by Stripe. By connecting a Stripe account or making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Host status requires OJOs admin approval and may be revoked at any time. OJOs is not responsible for payment disputes between users.

9. Population-Level Analytics and Ethical Data Use

OJOs may generate and share aggregated, anonymized, population-level insights derived from user activity — for example: "Users from [University] majoring in [Field] frequently connect with professionals in [Industry]." These insights may be shared with or licensed to educational institutions, employers, or research partners.

Our ethical commitments:

• Never individual: No individual user's data is ever sold or shared in an identifiable way.
• Minimum cohort size: Insights are generated only from cohorts of at least 15 users.
• No sensitive inference: We do not infer health, religion, political affiliation, or other sensitive attributes.
• Opt-out: Contact leebloob@ojos.life to opt out of contributing to population-level analytics. Opt-outs apply to future aggregations only.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use OJOs for illegal purposes or to violate any applicable law
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Share false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Platform
• Circumvent any security, access control, or rate-limiting measure
• Solicit users outside OJOs for competing services
• Share meeting room access credentials with unauthorized parties

11. Termination

OJOs may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that harms other users. Upon termination, all your data is deleted as described in Section 6. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard.

12. Third-Party Services

OJOs integrates Supabase (database/auth), Daily.co (video), Stripe (payments), Anthropic Claude (AI), and Resend/Gmail SMTP (email). Their respective privacy policies govern their data handling.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. OJOS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED SUMMARIES OR RECOMMENDATIONS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OJOS'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID OJOS IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS OR (B) $100 USD.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Orlando, Florida, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters. You waive the right to participate in any class action.

15. Changes to These Terms

When we update these Terms we will increment the version number and update the effective date. Material changes trigger re-acceptance at your next login. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
